September 1 - 30
Edsel & Eleanor Ford House

Drawing Room

The Drawing Room is the most formal room in the house. Here the Fords greeted guests attending parties or met with committees discussing problems of the day. Eleanor hired designer Polly Jessup in 1955 to redecorate the room to better showcase her eighteenth-century French furniture and Impressionist and Post-Impressionist paintings.
