Elizabeth Davis is earning her bachelor's degree in Architecture, then continuing her education at LTU for her master’s degree. Elizabeth's passion falls within residential and commercial architecture. As she continues her education and experience within the field, she wants to do exploratory research on geometric shapes, historic preservation, and adaptive reuse within architecture. Elizabeth will begin her career at Anderson, Eckstein & Westrick, Inc.

DescriptionThe Ashmun Bay Sports & Recreation Center is located in Sault Ste. Marie, MI. Its precise location is Ashmun Bay Park, a site that holds a habitat for nature and native species to the area. This recreation center considers spacial arrangements to capture the beauty of nature as well as receive a LEED certification using sustainable materials, minimal site damages, energy generation, and daylighting. Beyond the architectural principles, the recreation center design encourages multiple transportation and movement forms by providing ramps, electric charging stations, drop off zones for public transportation. Each design decision was made to promote healthy lifestyles both physically and environmentally, but also ensuring that the city's values of its land remain.
