For this year's Critical Practice build week, a 7-day, in-person experience that is part of the online Master of Architecture program, students were given a 2x4 piece of wood and were asked, "What can you do with this?" and "How does it get built?"
Using VR, projections, a lot of teamwork and problem-solving in their process, 77 students designed and built two massive wooden structures from only 2 x 4s. One structure will stay on campus, while the massive bench will be permanently installed on the site of K Group Developers, the class' industry sponsor. Both projects are currently on view on LTU's campus.
