Here you will find information on student financial aid resources for students interested in pursuing careers in the military and for veterans and their dependents.
If you have any questions about the financial aid available to you, trained and qualified financial aid advisers are available. These individuals can provide loan counseling and guidance on any other sources of available financial aid, and they are available before offering, recommending, arranging, signing-up, dispersing, or enrolling n Federal or Private student loan programs. The ACES Program authorizes tuition assistance not to exceed 75 percent, (50 percent if you use the State Education Reimbursement Program) with a cap of $200 per semester hour and $4,000 for the fiscal year.
You may use Federal TA with the GI Bill provided you are enrolled at least half time (six semester hours).
You are Eligible for the Program if:
• You are a member in good standing in the Army National Guard
• You are actively drilling with your unit
• You are attending a course of instruction that is included in a vocational program, associate, baccalaureate, graduate or professional degree program offered by an accredited college, university, community college, technical college or trade school
• You are maintaining a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or equivalent
The Express Scholarship is designed to meet Air Force ROTC officer production requirements in specific fields and year groups. The list of approved fields and year groups varies from time to time and may change periodically without notice.
This program awards Type II (tuition capped at $15,000 per year plus $510 per year for books) scholarships.
The Express Scholarship program is operated on a noncompetitive basis – those who meet the qualifications are awarded the scholarships and do not meet a scholarship selection board. The processing of the scholarship award is completed at the local detachment.

Tier I
Students must be able to graduate with an undergraduate degree before Oct. 1, 2006.
Tier II
Students must be able to graduate with an undergraduate degree before Oct. 1, 2005.
Tier III
Students must be able to graduate with an undergraduate degree before Oct. 1, 2004.
In addition to the Type II Scholarship, all Air Force ROTC Express Scholarship recipients receive a nontaxable monthly stipend. The annual stipend amount ranges from about $2,500 per year to $4,000 per year, depending on the recipient’s enrollment year.
