Financial Aid Timeline

Know your deadlines for the upcoming school year.

August 1:

Apply for admission to Lawrence Technological University. Students can start to apply for admission for the upcoming academic year. Students who submit a full and complete application for admission by the posted deadlines will be considered for merit scholarships.

October 1:

2022-2023 FAFSA opens up for current seniors in high school to fill out. Use Lawrence Technological University’s Federal School code (002279) in order to complete and submit your FAFSA.

October 1 – January 31:

Private Donor Scholarship application is open for CURRENT STUDENTS . Once you are a student at LTU, you can apply for the PDS scholarship in October of your freshman year.  A FAFSA for the upcoming school year will need to be on file in order to be considered. You can apply for the FAFSA here: https://studentaid.ed.gov/fafsa

December 2021:

Financial Aid Notifications will be sent out to admitted students if your FAFSA is complete and verified. If you are selected for verification, you will receive a hard copy letter in the mail from the Office of Financial aid. You may need to turn in additional documents.

March 1:

State of Michigan Funding deadline. Fill out your FAFSA before March 1 st 2022 in order to be considered for the maximum amount of aid from the state. If you believe you are eligible for the Michigan Incentive Program, please contact the Office of Financial Aid.

March 1:

IMPORTANT – Priority Deadline for filing.

June 1:

Private Donor Scholarships will be added to eligible student’s accounts who have received one. An email will go to your LTU email with instructions on who to write the Donor Letter of Appreciation. Please be on the lookout for this email if you receive a private donor scholarship

Use Your Cell Phone as a Document Camera in Zoom

  • What you will need to have and do
  • Download the mobile Zoom app (either App Store or Google Play)
  • Have your phone plugged in
  • Set up video stand phone holder

From Computer

Log in and start your Zoom session with participants

From Phone

  • Start the Zoom session on your phone app (suggest setting your phone to “Do not disturb” since your phone screen will be seen in Zoom)
  • Type in the Meeting ID and Join
  • Do not use phone audio option to avoid feedback
  • Select “share content” and “screen” to share your cell phone’s screen in your Zoom session
  • Select “start broadcast” from Zoom app. The home screen of your cell phone is now being shared with your participants.

To use your cell phone as a makeshift document camera

  • Open (swipe to switch apps) and select the camera app on your phone
  • Start in photo mode and aim the camera at whatever materials you would like to share
  • This is where you will have to position what you want to share to get the best view – but you will see ‘how you are doing’ in the main Zoom session.
