Exit Counseling

Graduating and Non-Returning Students

Prior to graduating or leaving college, borrowers are required to complete an exit counseling session. This online exit counseling session has been created to make sure that you understand your rights and responsibilities as a Direct Loan borrower. Read more about Exit Counseling, repayment options, contacting Direct Loans and more. This is an excellent reference site to assist you with loan repayment responsibilities after leaving school.

Exit Counseling for Graduates and students not returning to Lawrence Tech – use this site if you are graduating or not returning to Lawrence Tech and were a student loan borrower.  Student loan  borrowers who borrowed from the federal loan programs should use this site to complete Exit Counseling as required by federal regulations. Enrollment Services will receive an electronic response once completed.

“Graduates Please Note: Diplomas will not be released if you have any past due financial obligations (housing charges, library fees,  tuition, etc.).”

Federal Perkins Loan Exit Counseling – If you borrowed from the Federal Perkins Loan program, you will receive an email from University Accounting Service (UAS) with further instructions for completing Perkins Exit Counseling.

“Graduates Please Note: Diplomas will not be released if you have any past due financial obligations (housing charges, library fees, parking, tuition, etc.) and/or if you are a federal Student Loan recipient of the Perkins Loan and have not completed Exit Counseling.”
