Join the Detroit Pistons Drumline along with LTU Drumline for a Day of Percussion on Lawrence Tech's beautiful campus! Register your entire drumline or register to come out and enjoy the entertainment.

Tickets will be $10 at the door for all adults, children under 10 will be admitted free of charge.

This event is informal; audience members and attendees can come and go as desired.

All audience members and drumlines are invited to work with each section of the Detroit Pistons Drumline (snares/tenors/bass/cymbals) at sectional clinics. Please bring your own instruments for this clinic. No registration required for the clinics!

Drumline Registration

You only need to register your drumline if you plan to perform for the clinician.

Each registered high school drumline will have a 25 minute time-slot to perform and receive feedback; the clinicians will work with each group towards the end of this allotted time. Directors can make the decision on how much time they want to play or get a professional feedback. Registration is $300; this amount covers the drumline members and staff for the day.

If you are registering your Drumline to perform, please fill out this form to be added to the performance schedule:

2025 Clinician - Jack Tallman

We are excited to announce our 2025 Clinician Jack Tallman!  He is currently Adjunct Professor of Percussion at Jackson College.  Jack is sponsored by Black Swamp Percussion, Vic Firth, and Zildjian.  He recently served on percussion staff of River City Rhythm Corp DCI in the 2023 season and you may see Jack performing with the Detroit Lions drumline or as a member of the Five Lakes Silver Band.

Rudiment Table

We will have a rudiment table by the entrance of the science building that will have LTU Drumline members with a list of rudiments at the table.  Students can then work on these with our Drumline Members and play these rudiments to earn door prizes.

The 40 “essential” rudiments

Door prizes are awarded throughout the day!
