Choose Your Adventure

9 a.m. - Registration and โ€œSuiting Upโ€: Check-in, grab your gear, and meet your squad for the day.

9:30 a.m. - The Blueprint: Orientation: A high-energy crash course on the diverse fields of engineering from Civil to Cyber.

10:30 a.m. - The Sandbox (Hands-On Labs)

Choose one:

  1. The Robotics Arena (Code & Control)
  2. Mechanical Engineering (Fab Lab or Motor Sports)
  3. Biomedical Engineering (The Medical Engineer is in)
  4. The Concrete Experience (Cement your future at LTU)
  5. Artificial Intelligence in Engineering (Electrical Engineers wanted)
  6. Technology (Audio Engineers)

11:45 a.m. - 1 p.m. - The Power Lunch: Networking: Eat alongside working mentors. This is your chance to ask: โ€œWhat is your job actually like?โ€

Use Your Cell Phone as a Document Camera in Zoom

  • What you will need to have and do
  • Download the mobile Zoom app (either App Store or Google Play)
  • Have your phone plugged in
  • Set up video stand phone holder

From Computer

Log in and start your Zoom session with participants

From Phone

  • Start the Zoom session on your phone app (suggest setting your phone to โ€œDo not disturbโ€ since your phone screen will be seen in Zoom)
  • Type in the Meeting ID and Join
  • Do not use phone audio option to avoid feedback
  • Select โ€œshare contentโ€ and โ€œscreenโ€ to share your cell phoneโ€™s screen in your Zoom session
  • Select โ€œstart broadcastโ€ from Zoom app. The home screen of your cell phone is now being shared with your participants.

To use your cell phone as a makeshift document camera

  • Open (swipe to switch apps) and select the camera app on your phone
  • Start in photo mode and aim the camera at whatever materials you would like to share
  • This is where you will have to position what you want to share to get the best view โ€“ but you will see โ€˜how you are doingโ€™ in the main Zoom session.
