The Mathematics of Infection and Immunity

April 15, 2025
4 pm

‘Infection’ and ‘Immunity’ are both population- and individual-level characteristics, and they are intimately linked. We have developed individual- and population-level models of infection and immunity using in-host models of vaccination, drug therapy, immune system and infection dynamics, and epidemiological models of disease spread and public health programming. In this talk, we will introduce these multi-level models and discuss their integration and application to drug and vaccine development and roll-out, and public health programming. We will focus on COVID-19.
