A Smarter Defense Against Workplace Violence

February 23, 2026

Health care organizations nationwide are rethinking how they prevent and respond to workplace violence.

That national conversation will unfold virtually on Thursday, February 26, from noon to 1:30 p.m. EST, when patient safety leaders from across the country convene for a Safe Table dedicated to advancing practical, measurable solutions.

Led by the Healthcare Violence Reduction Center at Lawrence Technological University in partnership with the Alliance for Quality Improvement and Patient Safety Workplace Violence Prevention Subcommittee, the session, Protecting the Front Line Leveraging Data and Collaborative Networks to Reduce Workplace Violence, will bring together hospital executives, risk managers, patient safety officers, and frontline leaders committed to building safer, more resilient health systems.

Rather than relying solely on reactive security responses, the session centers on proactive, data-driven safety systems. Participants will examine how systematic incident tracking, staff perception surveys, and evidence-based assessments can be used to measure intervention effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.

The program will also explore how emerging innovations, including robotics and cross-institutional data networks, can be integrated into clinical workflows to reduce risk and relieve the psychological and physical strain placed on frontline staff. By shifting safety tasks to technology and shared intelligence networks, organizations can reduce the constant high-alert environment that contributes to clinician burnout and workforce instability.

Registration is open to qualified health care professionals. Register here.
