About High School Tutoring
Thank you for your interest in Lawrence Technological University’s High School Tutoring Program! The Academic Achievement Center began this program in response to inquiries for tutoring services from local high school students and parents. Once or twice-weekly tutoring sessions with AAC tutors help high school students gain a better understanding of the concepts behind their schoolwork. Students receive monthly progress reports to track their achievements, including suggestions to help strengthen problem areas.
Tutoring sessions are approximately 50-55 minutes each and can be private (one student per tutor) or semi-private (two students per tutor) on a weekly or twice-weekly basis. All tutoring is held in the AAC, a supervised and supportive learning environment. All AAC tutors have a minimum of one year of tutoring experience, and has been carefully selected for his or her ability to work with high school students.
Our program includes math, chemistry, biology, and physics tutoring for high school sophomores, juniors and seniors. We also provide tutoring for AP Calculus, AP Chemistry, AP Biology, and AP Physics courses. Tutors can also assist with ACT or SAT prep.
