Recognizing the plight of Michigan's displaced workers and other citizens affected by the economy, Lawrence Technological University has inaugurated a bold new program to improve the future. The package included:
> Personally-focused career services to match qualified workers with innovative companies that have employment opportunities;
> New academic programs to strengthen and diversify Michigan's economy, help displaced workers retool, and prepare students for the changing global market; and
> 400 "Recovery Grants" that provided 50 percent of tuition for eligible displaced workers or their dependent children.
Lawrence Tech is a proud partner of the Keep Michigan Working coalition.
