Dean Louis DeGennaro

Leading in Theory and Practice

Today, living and working in a global economy is a fact life and our College of Management is committed to advancing a more humane and sustainable world community led by global thinkers and global leaders and providing you with the knowledge and skills required to successfully compete in a global economy.

Here are some of the exciting things we have done over the past twelve months to meet our commitment to you:

  1. We developed and launched a new master's degree in Global Leadership and Management that was created for the U.S. Army and Air Force.
  2. We redesigned our MBA curriculum to include a new global concentration with course work in global technology and innovation.
  3. We launched our dynamic MBA International degree program for students who work or aspire to work in a global organization.
  4. We redesigned our Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) and Doctor of Management in Information Technology (DMIT) programs to include a strong global content in their core course work.
  5. We launched our Center for Global Leadership and Understanding with its mission to prepare future leaders to meet the economic, political, social, cultural, and humanitarian challenges of the 21st Century global economy.

Because it is also imperative for future leaders to have a solid grasp of the practical issues and skills required to be a manager in a globalized world, our professors will serve as mentors and help develop leadership capabilities and critical thinking skills through reflection learning and self-awareness exercises.

We also listened carefully to your wants and needs and created a Student Relationship Management (SRM) team to help you plan your academic program and achieve your educational and professional goals efficiently.  And we have set up social neworks on Facebook and Twitter and launched a LinkedIn Management Group to provide you with places to interact and network.

Here is one last bit of exciting news that has made all of us in the College of Management proud to serve you.  Lawrence Technological University has earned the "Best in the Midwest" designation for 2010 from the Princeton Review based on academic excellence and student surveys.

Sincerely yours,

Dean DeGennaro
