Special Opportunity- Looking for Volunteers for Robofest
Robofest (an annual robotics competition that promotes STEM concepts for students in grades 5 - 12 --- Robofest.net) has several competitions in Michigan during the months of February-April, with the World Championship held in May at LTU.
We are looking for volunteers to help at these events. We're particularly in need of students to help at the competition at COBO on Wednesday, March 20.
As for the dates of the events: below is a link to our volunteer website, with dates/sites included.
http://robofest.net/rms/appPages/volunteerPages/YearLocationLookup.jsp
Students can go to that link (and also Robofest.net, for more information), and then click on a Michigan site. After that, they would click on "available volunteer positions" where they'll see how many volunteers are needed for various positions (we need a lot of volunteers for each event). If they are able to volunteer, they can do so using this same link and clicking on "New Volunteer Registration" after choosing a site. After they contact me, I can then give them more specific information about what is entailed in volunteering.
