All students are invited to participate in this Greece tour. You will meet your bilingual EF Tour Director when you arrive in Athens. They will guide you through the many cities and sites of the country including ancient architecture and a cruise through the islands of the Saronic Gulf. Become familiar with the history and culture of the country by visiting museums reminiscent of the mythical past of ancient Greece. Experience a night out in Athens and really absorb the Grecian culture. Students have the option of participating in the tour for elective credit (tuition is an additional charge) or for experience.
The registration deadline is December 1, 2008. A down payment of $95 at the time of registration includes a lifetime membership with this travel company. The full amount is due by February 1, 2009. Prices do not include passport fees, gratuity, and personal expenses. There will be fundraising opportunities with faculty support. There is also an optional excursion into the Greek nightlife for a fee of $70.

Itinerary
Day 1: Fly overnight to Greece
Day 2: Athens
Meet your bilingual EF Tour Director and take a walking tour of Athens, Cradle of Democracy and birthplace of Western civilization.
Day 3: Guided sightseeing of Athens
An expert local guide introduces you to the antiquities of Athens and you can use your free time to explore other sites in Athens.
Day 4: Athens-Saronic Gulf cruise
Journey through the islands of the Saronic Gulf; Aegina, Poros, and Hydra. You'll also enjoy an included lunch during the cruise.
Day 5: Delphi and Patras
Get a guided tour of Delphi with a stop at the Delphi museum and spend the night in Patras, capital of the Peloponnese.
Day 6: Olympia and Argolida
Visit Olympia for guided sightseeing, the site of the first Olympic Games almost 2,800 years ago then continue to Argolida, Greece's first capital.
Day 7: Epidaurus, Mycenae, and Athens- Guided sightseeing of Epidaurus
Visit the ancient site of Epidaurus, famous for its open-air theater. You'll also tour legendary Mycenae, founded by Perseus with the help of the Cyclops. Then go by way of the Corinth Canal en route to Athens.
Day 8: Cape Sounion and Athens
Journey to Cape Sounion and view the Temple of Poseidon, located on a promontory overlooking the Aegean Sea.
Optional Greek Evening: Opt to experience Greece's unique and colorful culture during an evening of traditional entertainment and cuisine.
Day 9: Depart for home
Your tour director assists with the transfer to the airport, where you'll check in for your return flight home.

Educational Tours offers international travel for faculty and student groups. Tours can range from eight to twenty-one days, and itineraries can be designed to enhance classroom curriculum. Some tours are organized as part of a course that students are already enrolled in as an expansion of an already-developed college program. Additionally, EF Tours is accredited to offer college credits to students who complete certain requirements throughout and at the end of the tour.
The tour company provides an experiences bilingual EF Tour Director who meets the group at the arrival city and stays with them throughout the tour. The program also offers iStory projects, which allow student to capture their experiences using photos, videos, podcasts, and blogs. Students can make travel journals or group web pages to keep family and friends up to date on their travels.
