JEFFERY PROUGH:
Founder, CEO, and President of Critical Signal Technologies (CST) in Farmington Hills. CST serves more than 65,000 clients and is a leading provider of Personal Emergency Response Systems, medication management systems, and tele-health solutions. Named Automation Alley’s 2010 Emerging Technology Company of the Year, CST, founded in 2006, operates 24/7 care centers in Michigan and Massachusetts and serves individual and institutional clients throughout all 50 states and Puerto Rico. Under Prough’s leadership the company landed $2 million from Michigan’s 21st Century Jobs Fund in 2008, along with $6.6 million in venture capital. Automation Alley has invested $450,000 in the company. CST acquired the stock and assets of GTL, Inc. (Link to Life), along with Link Technologies, Inc., in 2009. Prior to CST, Prough was president of Guardian Alarm Co., one of the country’s largest independent security companies, and its three subsidiaries: Guardian Armored Security, Guardian Guard, and Guardian Medical Monitoring. When Guardian entered the health care arena, he was instrumental in securing a Medicare license to operate as a home health care agency and enhancing many tele-health related patents during that time. Prior to Guardian, Prough was president and COO of Ram Broadcasting Corp. for 13 years. He has been recognized by
Crain’s Detroit Business as one of the Best and Brightest business leaders. Prough has lectured nationally on a number of topics, including customer service, motivation, business, and personal development. In Michigan, he has presented at TiECon Midwest and Automation Alley. Prough is also vice president of the Medical Alert Monitoring Association.
