CEO of Carbon Credit Environmental Services (CCES) in Detroit, Dolkowski also serves as CEO of Environmental Recycling Group in Livonia, Environmental Recycling in Bowling Green, Ohio, and Environmental Asset Recovery in Wauseon, Ohio. Dolkowski has more than 33 years experience in the environmental, sustainability, and energy conservation fields. He has patented an input-output life cycle assessment for greenhouse gas emissions and CO2 certification and holds an intellectual property patent on a life cycle analysis for greenhouse gas and CO2. His specializations include life cycle assessments, greenhouse gas emissions auditing, carbon footprint auditing, wastewater treatment, energy optimization, carbon offsetting, Kyoto protocol management, and renewable energy design. CCES focuses on carbon dioxide (CO2) and greenhouse gas emissions reduction programs and is part of Wayne State University’s Tech Town initiative. The CCES energy audit calculates clients’ current energy usage and offers solutions to cut energy costs, helping clients reduce their carbon footprint with the ultimate goal of becoming “carbon neutral.” Launched in 2007, CCES now has seven employees and more than 10 contract employees. Dolkowski is a presenter for environmental engineering at Wayne State and Oakland Universities and other organizations. In 2003, he received the environmental vendor of the year award from Detroit Edison. Dolkowski earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in environmental engineering through Columbia Southern University.

MOST INFLUENTIAL PERSONS: “My father. He started out as a Greyhound bus driver, went to night school and got his engineering degree. He continued night school throughout his career and became a power plant operator. He was always working but at the same time was educating himself.”

WHERE MY FIELD/INDUSTRY IS HEADED:  “During the Obama administration, our industry is going to catch up to Europe as far as alternative energy reduction and greenhouse gas reduction. I believe ‘cap and trade’ will pass in Congress and the Senate and we will ratify the Kyoto agreement. I believe it will be completely opposite from the last two administrations as far as environmental issues.”

FAVORITE TECHNOLOGICAL GADGET: “The new BlackBerry; it’s fun to work with.”

FAVORITE PLACE: “Downtown Detroit, just because there are so many nice restaurants and things to do there.”

FAVORITE HOBBIES: “Oil painting and still life abstracts. I enjoy oils.”

FAVORITE FOOD: “Pizza. I love pizza.”

MY HIDDEN TALENT: “I used to be a musician and I can still play the guitar.”
