KARLA HALL:
Manager, Corporate Contributions and Community Involvement, at DTE Energy and Vice President of the DTE Energy Foundation in Detroit. Hall oversees DTE Energy’s philanthropic contributions and plans and manages the company’s charitable contributions programs. Hall joined Detroit Edison, a subsidiary of DTE Energy, in 1997 as administrator of corporate contributions and secretary of the Detroit Edison Foundation. Prior to Detroit Edison, Hall served as manager of corporate contributions for Comerica Inc. She also worked for Ameritech Publishing as supervisor of corporate contributions. Hall’s first position in corporate philanthropy was fund assistant for the Chrysler Corporation Fund. She began her career as an aide in Washington, D.C., to Congressman John Conyers Jr. Hall is chair of the Inforum board of directors, chair of the Michigan Nonprofit Association board of trustees, and serves on the cabinet of the Virgil H. Carr Society of United Way for Southeastern Michigan. She also serves on the executive committee of the business contributions council of Detroit Renaissance and is on the boards of City Connect - Detroit and the Motown Historical Museum. In 2004, she received the Women of Achievement Award from the Anti-Defamation League. Hall earned a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Michigan. She is a graduate of Leadership Detroit and Leadership Michigan.
