BRAD BYRNES:
President and Owner, Xpert Technologies Inc. in Sterling Heights. Xpert Technologies is a technology solutions company that provides consulting, onsite support, managed services, cloud computing, and installation for small- to enterprise-sized clients. Xpert is the only Gold SonicWall partner in Michigan, providing advanced network security, backup and recovery, anti-spam, and email security systems. Byrnes has built the company to more than 1,000 clients in the defense, manufacturing, legal, medical, finance, and automotive industries, and has increased revenues by more than 150 percent in the past three years. The company has hired additional technicians and plans more hires this year, in addition to securing additional office space to expand its data center. Byrnes became interested in technology while still in grade school, when he launched his first company, ICM Computers. At 16 he started adding business customers, one of which is still a customer today. Previously, Byrnes was IT manager for the Suburban Collection, where he led a complete restructuring of its technology. He is a member of the Troy and Sterling Heights chambers of commerce and Automation Alley. Byrnes also provides pro bono services to nonprofit organizations in Detroit.
