STEVE FUTRELL:
Founder, CEO and President of Technology Solutions in Livonia. Futrell has built Technology Solutions into a nationwide provider of voice and data networking equipment and services. In business for more than 15 years, Technology Solutions has built bundled offerings to grow its existing client base and has attracted new clients. Under his leadership, the company has been experiencing increased revenue growth, nearly doubling its size in recent years and adding additional employees. For the past 10 years, Technology Solutions has received national recognition from Technology Assurance Group (TAG), an international organization of independently owned unified communications companies, for being a top economic performer and earning the Sales Performance Award and Chairman's Circle Gold Award, among others. Before starting his own company, Futrell was director of sales and marketing for Business Communications Group and account manager at Fujitsu Business Communications Systems. For increasing sales and gaining clients across the country, Futrell was named as Tigerpaw Software's 2011 White Tiger award winner. He serves on the Technology Advisory Board and the Business Advisory Board at Eastern Michigan University (EMU). He also is a board member of the Livonia Chamber of Commerce and the Livonia Community Foundation. Recently, the City of Livonia named him as one of 10 people who will give "Definition to the Decade of 2011-2020" in Livonia. He received his bachelor's degree in business management from EMU.
