President, COO, and co-founder of Enovate in Ferndale. Enovate is an international manufacturer of mobile and wall-mounted computer workstations for the health care industry, providing resources for medication delivery, computerized order entry, and clinical documentation. The company was named to the Inc. 5000 for 2009, when it experienced 84.5 percent growth, from $12.1 million in revenue in 2005 to $22.3 million in late 2008. Considerably more growth is expected. Under Calero's leadership, Enovate has grown from a healthcare IT value-added reseller of medical computer carts to a manufacturer. Recently, the company expanded its Ferndale headquarters, increasing office and manufacturing workspace from 9,000 square feet to more than 45,000 square feet, and it will be moving again after purchasing a 76,000-square-foot space in Canton Township. The company also is expanding its workforce. Enovate's clients include the Cleveland Clinic, Johns Hopkins Hospital, the University of Chicago Medical Center, and Massachusetts General Hospital. Enovate has been recognized as one of the 2010 "Michigan 50 Companies to Watch," an awards program sponsored by the Edward Lowe Foundation and presented by Michigan Celebrates Small Business. Calero is responsible for developing and managing the company's technical direction and day-to-day operations. He provides more than 18 years of knowledge in technology sales, backed by experience in the wireless communications and computer industries. Previously, Calero held sales positions at Motorola, Sun Microsystems, and Intermec Corp. He received his bachelor's degree in economics from California State University Northridge.
