Academic Scholarships
First-time and Transfer Students

Lawrence Tech, through the Office of Financial Aid, annually awards a number of academic scholarships to first-time and transfer students. Application deadlines: March 1 and June 15, respectively. Applications are available from the Office of Financial Aid or online.

Buell Honor Scholarships

• Two-Five awarded each year to first-time students
• Full tuition for four years (eight semesters)
• Paid registration, laboratory, course and activity fees
• Additional $1,000 each year for books and supplies
• Renewable each year provided student is enrolled for at least 12 credit hours each semester and maintains a 3.00 GPA or better
• To qualify: High school GPA of 3.75 or better and outstanding ACT or SAT scores

 
Lawrence Tech Scholarships

• Limited number awarded each year to first-time students
• Tuition reimbursement of $13,000 - $18,000 for each of four years (eight semesters)
• Renewable each year provided student is enrolled for a least 12 credit hours each semester and maintains a 3.00 GPA or better
• To qualify: High school GPA of 3.50 or better and outstanding ACT or SAT scores
• Five awards are available each year to transfer students. To qualify, student needs a GPA of 3.60 or better and at least 60 hours of transfer credit. Tuition reimbursement is up to $13,000 for each of two years

University Honor Scholarships

• $9,500 award each year for four years (eight semesters)
• Renewable each year, provided student is enrolled for a least 12 credit hours each semester and maintains a 2.70 or better GPA
• To qualify: student must have a high school GPA of 3.30 or better and ACT scores of 25 or better (or SAT scores of 1130 or better). For transfers, a GPA of 3.60 or better and 24 hours of transfer credit

Trustee Scholarships (first-time students)

• $5,500 award each year for four years (eight semesters)
• Renewable each year provided student is enrolled for at least six credit hours each semester and maintains a 2.70 or better GPA
• To qualify, student must have a high school GPA of 3.00 or better and ACT scores of 24 or better (or SAT scores of 1090 or better).

• Trustee Transfer Scholarships (full-time transfer students)

• $4000 award each year for four years (eight semesters)
• Renewable each year provided student is enrolled for at least 12 credit hours each semester and maintains a 2.70 or better GPA
• To qualify:  student must have a GPA of 3.00 or better and 24 hours of transfer credit

Trustee Transfer Scholarships (part-time transfer students)

• $2,000 award each year for four years (eight semesters)
• Renewable each year provided student is enrolled for at least six credit hours each semester and maintains a 2.70 or better GPA
• To qualify:  student must have GPA of 3.00 or better and 24 hours of transfer credit

National Guard

• Lawrence Tech will meet 25 percent of tuition and registration fees up to $2,000
• Member must be in good standing and participating in either the Michigan Air or Army National Guard to be eligible for the State Education Reimbursement Program
