All Student Loan Borrowers at Lawrence Tech

Lawrence Tech students borrow directly through the Federal Direct Student Loan Program.

If you previously borrowed from a different source (bank, credit union or other lender) you will need to begin the Federal Direct Student Loan process to complete entrance counseling and master promissory note. Most lenders beginning with the 2008-2009 academic year will sell your loan to the Federal Direct Loan Program. You could have two sources to repay, your previous lender (prior to 2008-2009) and Federal Direct Loan Program. Be aware of this change and read all correspondance received about your loans and repayments.

NOTE: Accepting your student loan offer in Banner Web will result in a Federal Direct Student Loan origination (you must sign an MPN to receive the loan funds).

Entrance Counseling is a requirement for Federal Direct Student Loan borrowing.
