Degree Requirements

Students may apply to the MEM program at any time during the year for matriculation in any future semester. To graduate from the MEM program, students must have the following.

Core Course Requirements
The MEM degree requires 36 credit hours of coursework. This includes 21 credit hours from the following seven core areas:

  • Management and Information Systems
  • Project Management
  • Leadership and Management
  • Quality Control
  • Enterprise Productivity
  • Special Topics in Engineering Management
  • Technology Management 

Technical Elective Requirements
Five courses – 15 credit hours – must be selected from the following areas of interest:

  • Computer Science
  • Civil Engineering
  • Electrical and Computer Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Management
