LTU Wireless Networks Information
How to connect
| Windows 7 (Vista) | MacOSX 10.5+ | Phones |
| Windows XP | Gaming | |
| Other Electronic Devices |
Which connection should I use?
- The LTU Network connection should be used by any device that need to access LTU resources (i.e. network printers or shared drives). The LTU Network is a secure connection that requires an LTU campus username and password.
- The LTU Guest connection should be used for any device that does not require access to LTU resources (i.e. smartphone, gaming devices, iPads etc…). The LTU Guest connection is open to all with no login required.
What if I am still having trouble connecting?
We currently have over 2,400 wireless devices of many different types that are connected to the two new wireless network connections. Windows computer and mobile devices, Apple computer and mobile devices, Android mobile devices, Sony gaming devices, Xbox gaming devices, Nintendo gaming devices, and many others are successfully connected to LTU Network and LTU Guest.
However, we are also aware that a very small number of users may be having difficulty connecting their personal wireless devices to the LTU Network connection and/or the LTU Guest connection. These issues will need to be resolved on an individual basis due to the immense variety of personal wireless devices available. If you are continuing to have difficulty connecting a personal wireless device, please contact he Help Desk 248-240-2330 or helpdesk@ltu.edu.
