Use Excel to Create an Exam or Test
Create questions in Excel
- Open a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet
- Format and enter each question in a unique row/cell
- Save the worksheet as a Text; Tab Delimited file
Create test in Blackboard
- Access Control Panel; Course Tools, Test Surveys and Pools, Tests; Build Test
- Type in name for the test and any description and/or instructions
- Click Submit
- On the Test Canvas page, select Upload Questions
- Select Browse to the locate the Excel file (text, tab delimited format) you saved above
- Enter the points to be assigned to each question and click Submit
You should now see your test questions reformatted for Blackboard; click OK to accept
