Abaqus Software Products

The Abaqus student edition is available to Lawrence Tech Students and Faculty free of charge. For program details please see visit this page: http://academy.3ds.com/software/students/abaqus-student-edition/.

Adobe Software Products

Adobe software is available to Lawrence Tech Students, Faculty and Staff at significant discounts from Logisoft. For program details and a list of available software, please see visit this page: http://www.schoolworld.com/ltu/.

Autodesk Software

Autodesk software is available to Lawrence Tech students and faculty through the Autodesk Education Community. Full software versions such as Autodesk Inventor, Autodesk Revit, Autodesk 3ds Max, Autodesk Maya, and AutoCAD can be downloaded following free registration and account activation.

To download Autodesk software:

1. Go to the Autodesk Education Community website.
2. Click the Join the Community today link.
3. Complete your registration.
4. You will receive an email with a link to activate your account.

After your account is activated, you can download Autodesk software.

PLEASE NOTE:

  • You must be an actively enrolled student to participate in the Education Community. Membership privileges expire if a student is not currently registered for classes. Privileges also expire following graduation from Lawrence Tech.
  • Autodesk software can only be installed on a single computer per user.

Maplesoft Work at Home

The MapleSoft software is licensed to Lawrence Tech students, faculty, & staff for use on a personally owned computer. Users wishing to install Maple and Maple Sims must agree to the terms of the license agreement by signing the Campus Subscription Enrollment Users Acceptance Form.

Only one installation of MapleSoft per user is allowed. Users may use the software during the license period which is typically one year from July 1 – June 30. Should the Lawrence Tech license agreement expire, users are required to remove all MapleSoft software from their computer. Students must remove all MapleSoft software from their computer when they leave Lawrence Tech.

Users may purchase Maple and/or MapleSim on CD for $10 each, limited to one of each CD title per user. The $10 purchase price is payable at the DTE One Stop Service Center, C304 A. Alfred Taubman Student Services Building. Users must bring their receipt to the Help Desk before they can pick up the CD. Users may come to the Help Desk for assistance in installing this software, after purchase, on their personal laptops.

Microsoft DreamSpark

Selected Microsoft software products are available at no cost from the Microsoft DreamSpark program. Available products may include operating systems, server software, applications software, developer tools, technical references, training tools, and more. LTU has two separate agreements with the Microsoft DreamSpark program.

 

Standard

Available for ALL LTU Students and Staff. You must have access to your LTU webmail.

Please follow the directions below:

  1. Navigate to ltu.onthehub.com
  2. Click Sign in the upper right corner, then click on Register.
  3. Enter your LTU webmail address. Click Continue.
  4. Fill out the account registration page. Click Register.
  5. Access your LTU email, open the email titled, “Email address confirmation.” Click on the link in the email to verify your address.
  6. You may now start downloading software from this site.

Other software

You may see other tabs for other types of software on the Microsoft DreamSpark website, including Adobe. These are available as a service to LTU, but not part of our Campus Agreement. It is simply a central location for various software discounts.

Minitab Software

The Minitab software is licensed to Lawrence Tech students (currently taking courses for LTU credits), faculty, & staff for use on a personally owned computer. Users wishing to install Minitab must agree to the terms of the license agreement by signing the Campus Subscription Enrollment Users Acceptance Form.
