The Help Desk is the first point of contact for all your IT service requests.

If you need assistance, please contact the Help Desk by phone at 248.204.2330, or by email: helpdesk@ltu.edu

Do not contact individual staff members directly.  They may be away from the office and unable to respond to your phone call or email message.  Please send all your IT service requests to the Help Desk so we may provide you with timely service.


Beginning Monday, Oct. 5, Help Desk hours will change as follows: 

Mon. - Thurs. 8am - 6:30pm
Friday 8am - 4:30pm

It's not just email anymore...

We're pleased to announce that Lawrence Tech has partnered with Google to bring you a new email system.  Lawrence Tech has implemented Google Apps for Education (Gapps), a suite of collaboration tools including email, shared calendars, chat, document sharing, and more.  

There are lots of advantages to using Gapps.  Here are just a few:

  • Store up to 7 GBs of mail 
  • Easily share multiple calendars
  • Google search technology is built in
  • Chat with others from your email window
  • Client based video chat is available

Spring 2010 Laptop Distribution

Laptop distribution for the Spring 2010 term will be on Monday, January 11 from 1:00pm - 6:00pm.  For a complete list of distrubution and return dates, please see the distribution schedule.

Users must fulfill the requirments listed below before they can pick up a laptop.


Faculty Distribution:

Before picking up a laptop, faculty must provide a fully executed Laptop Authorization form signed by the appropriate personnel from their department and a signed 2009 Faculty Laptop Agreement.


Student Distribution:

Before a student receives a laptop, they must:

  • Register for classes for the current term.
  • Pay a $500 security deposit, payable by check or credit card.
  • Have a Lawrence Tech photo ID card.
  • Sign the laptop agreement which is online in BannerWeb.

The One Stop Service Center, room C304 Taubman Student Services Building accepts payments of the laptop security deposits and provides Lawrence Tech Photo IDs.                                                                                                                                                

We will not distribute laptops to anyone other than the person to whom it is assigned. Parents, relatives, or friends may not pick up a laptop for a Lawrence Tech student or faculty member. Students and faculty must pick up their laptops in person. There are no exceptions to this policy.
