Academic Credit
Being a part of the Co-op Program is not a requirement in fulfillment to graduate from Lawrence Tech, but is highly recommended. However, there are academic programs that mandate to complete a co-op, internship, or some type of field experience to graduate. Students should meet with their faculty advisor to discuss the process if that requirement relates to their major(s).
Once a student has been offered a co-op position and would like to receive academic credit, then the Office of Career Services will evaulate the work assignment(s) and approve registration. Newly hired co-op students will need to provide the Office of Career Services a copy of the job offer letter to validate co-op employment. To begin the co-op registration process, email the office at ltuocs@ltu.edu.
