Career Fairs

Mark your Calendar! 
Fall recruitment dates have been set! 

Fall Co-op and Internship Fair is scheduled for October 23, 2008.  This fair will be held in the Buell Management Building Atrium.  Any student interested in participating in an internship or co-op should plan to attend.

 

Looking for on-campus employment?

Students interested in working on-campus this fall should contact the Office of Career Services.  Students who have been granted work study funds should also attend.  This event is open to current students only.  Bring a current resume and be prepared for on-site interviews.  Business casual dress is recommended. 

All open on-campus jobs will be posted online in CareerQuest.

Do you know if you are work-study eligible?  Did you file a FAFSA in early 2008?  Have you received your letter of eligibility?  If you are work-study eligible, you should inform your interviewer.

 

Career Services Workshops

Regular workshops are offered by the Office of Career Services to provide assistance with resume critiques, interview skills, job search techniques, and CPT and OPT processes.  Check with the Office of Career Services for information about upcoming events.

Find Your First Professional Job

The Office of Career Services also offers “Find Your First Professional Job”, a comprehensive, 6-week program which provides students with the necessary career management skills to effectively identify and compete for employment opportunities related to their academic major.  The OCS staff and partnering employers will provide coaching and support for students seeking to explore opportunities, develop cover letters and resumes, learn interview and networking skills, creating a professional image and using technology to achieve career goals.  In addition, each student participant will be assigned a personal career coach who will assist with career management issues, and identifying prospective opportunities.
