You can start your degree at Lawrence Tech in August, January, or May. To begin the application process, the Office of Admissions needs your:

  • Official transcripts from high school and/or any other colleges attended
  • Undergraduate application for admission
  • Application fee

The Media Communication Degree Program is specifically designed to facilitate the individual career goals of each student. The exceptional hands-on approach encompasses not only one-on-one mentoring, but also focuses on essential technical training. The highly specialized curriculum will evolve to reflect the ever-changing demands of the broadcast industry. A strong emphasis on civic and social responsibility as well as ethics is the cornerstone of this distinctive program.

The Media Communication Degree Program is designed to prepare students:

  • To have a superior theoretical, technical, creative and ethical foundation that distinguishes them from other media specialists;
  • To think critically: Our core curriculum gives students an impressive background in masterpieces of literature, philosophy, and social sciences, including communication and writing skills that will serve them not only in their chosen professions but in life;
  • To be leading-edge producers, writers, reporters, editors, technicians and related communication professionals who can work independently or in teams;
  • To document their creative and technical ability in a resume tape that represents the best of their original productions.

Mentoring by expert faculty, internships and exciting opportunities to learn in a broadcast and corporate environment will be provided.
