The Bachelor of Science in Mathematics degree is designed for careers in the scientific and business community where the application of mathematical analysis leads to scientific or financial solutions. In this rapidly changing world, job descriptions change. New technologies, indeed industries, are created and destroyed. But the long-standing mathematical principles on which technology is based remain and grow. Student Employment
Have you done very well in mathematics courses? Would you like to help others learn mathematics? Would you like to pick up a few extra bucks? If so, look into our grading or tutoring opportunities. The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science needs graders for the Calculus workshops. The AAC needs tutors in mathematics courses through Advanced Engineering Mathematics. Some of the department’s developmental mathematics courses need student assistants. If you are interested in any of these positions, apply at the Mathematics and Computer Science office S120.
