 Joyce McKissen joined Lawrence Tech as the Humanities secretary in 1986 where she assists the department chairperson and faculty.

 In 2001 she received the Mary E. and Richard E. Marburger Excellence in Achievement Award Staff Member of the Year.

 She received her Associates degree in General Studies, at LTU, in 2009.
