Dual Master's in Architecture and Master's in Business Administration (M.Arch, MBA)


This dual degree results in a first professional NAAB accredited Master's in Architecture and an accredited Master's in Business Administration.  The degree includes courses from both disciplines along with a thesis guided by architecture and business faculty.  Prerequisites to this program include a B.S. in Architecture as well as several prerequiste courses in business.  This program can be completed entirely online except for the Master Class studio that can be completed on 10 Fridays during the summer or on 4 weekends during the summer plus a field trip.

5.     ARC 5913  Professional Practice 1

6.     ARC 5422  Environmental Issues

8.     ARC 5942  Project Management

 

Eight MBA courses (27 credit hours)

 

1.    MGT 6013 Leadership/Mgt. 

2.    HRM 6033 Leading Organizational Change

3.    ACC 6013 Mgt. Accounting & Control Systems

4.    MIS 6013 Management Information Systems

5.    FIN 6013 Financial Management

6.    MGT 6053 Perspectives in International Business

7.    MKT 6013 Marketing Management

8.    OPM 6013 Operations Management

9.    MGT 6063 Strategic Management

 

Plus three Thesis* courses (10 credit hours) that integrate both academic disciplines:

 

1.     ARC 5814 Advanced Design Studio 1 or ARC6514 Thesis 1 
  (Architectural Design and Practice)

2.     ARC 5824 Advanced Design Studio 2 or ARC 6524 Thesis 2

3.     ARC 6832 Arch Design & Practice Studio Documentation or
  ARC 6112 Praxis (Architectural Design and Practice)

 

The total number of credits would be:

 

            20 ARC core courses

            27 MBA core courses

            10 Thesis courses integrated across programs

            57 credit hours in total
