Q: Are there any Scholarships available for Graduate Students?
Yes, the College of Architecture and Design has Work Study Scholarships supported by architectural firms. These scholarships are competitive and they cover half of a student's tuition while the student is also employed half time by the firm. Research assistantships are also available and qualified individuals can be considered for adjunct teaching positions.
Q: Is there a program for students who want to pursue a career in Architecture or Interior Design but have an undergraduate degree in another field?
We have three year Master's programs in Architecture and Interior Design available to people who have completed at least a bachelor's degree in another discipline.
Q: What course load does a grad student need to take to be considered a full-time students?
Six credit hours is considered full-time.
Q: What is the deadline for submitting portfolio and application materials for entrance into the Master of Architecture and Master of Interior Design degree programs?
Complete applications are reviewd monthly. There is no deadline for submission, however, please leave at least two weeks available for application review prior to the start of any semester..
Q: What are the portfolio requirements for admissions to the grad program? Are there samples to preview?

Q: Is the GRE requirement of those wishing to enter the Master of Architecture or Master of Interior Design Programs?
No, the GRE is not a requirement for entrance into the Master's programs in the College of Architecture and Design.
Q: What TOFEL scores are needed?
A score of 550 is necessary if you take the written test and a score of 213 is required of those taking the computer version.
Q: Are ESL classes offered at LTU?
Yes, the are various options for those needing assistance with English either through on-campus classes, tutoring or through a community based classes.
Q: How many credit hours are required of those seeking the Master of Architecture or the Master's in Interior Design?
Thirty-six credit hours are required for the completion of the Master of Architecture and 37 credit hours are required for completion of the Master's in Interior Design. Please see the curriculum guides for the total credits needed for the 3+ programs in architecture and interior design.
